Why the viewer pays more than you earn
This is the gap that surprises most new models. A token does not have one price. It has two, and they are set independently.
On the viewer side, tokens are sold in bundles and the per-token price drops as the bundle gets bigger. A 100-token starter pack works out around $0.11 each. A 1,000-token bundle drops to roughly $0.08. So two people can tip you the same 500 tokens having paid quite different amounts for them.
On your side, the rate is flat. It does not matter which bundle the tip came from. That means the platform's share is not a fixed percentage either. Run the numbers in the calculator and you will see it swing from roughly 37% on a large bundle to over 60% when a non-US model is tipped from a small starter pack. Same tip, very different split.
None of this is something you control, and it is not worth agonising over. It is worth understanding before you price a tip menu, because a "cheap" 25-token request costs the viewer about two dollars, not one.
How many tokens do you need to get paid?
Chaturbate's payout minimum is $50, which at the $0.05 rate means 1,000 tokens. At $0.04 you need 1,250. The reverse field in the calculator above works this out for any target, and tells you roughly how many 100 or 500 token tips that represents, which is a more useful way to think about a shift than a dollar figure.
A word of caution on the arithmetic: hitting a number on paper and hitting it in a room are different problems. Tips arrive in clusters, and most models earn the bulk of a session from a handful of people. Use the reverse calculation to set a goal, not to predict a night.
Does this work for Stripchat tokens too?
